I have always enjoyed the compositions that my students who are beginning and intermediate level marimbists learn. This CD included some of the classic marimba pieces like Yellow After the Rain, Raindance and Monography IV, oh, and of course Prism by Keiko Abe! Rebecca Kite |

Prism Jazz Kite (Fire)Reviewsworks great in low wind conditions and even better in good wind. It's really a lot of fun and you will get some exercise in the process! Kite is of excellent quality and i suggest you watch the included video on how to assemble as it will save you from trying to decrypt the multi-language instructions. Pretty good kite for winds greater than 5mph. A bit noisey at higher speeds though. I bought this for my grand daughters birthday. It is very colorful. It is very sturdy, as it has crashed a couple of times in the hands of a 3 year old, while she was learning how to operate. She loves this thing. It gets her outside away from the TV. Amazon delivery was perfect again. So I really like company Prism and I really wanted to like this kite but I am rather disappointed for the following reasons: 1) The kite's spine broke on my very first flight. I imagined that Prism installs high quality parts that can withstand 20-30 crashes at moderate g forces at the very least, but I was wrong. The spine of my kite is destroyed beyond repair after 2 crashes at 10MPH winds. I guess I was dealt a bad hand? I think not. 2) I am clueless as to where to get a new spine. Hobby stores in the vicinity do not carry Prism parts. Also, I would imagine that the spine is the most sensitive part of the kite and shipping the kite with a spare spine would've been a great idea. But they chose not to ship a spare. 3) The instructions on the kite are HORRIFIC. I cannot for the life of me understand why Prism can't include comprehensible instructions. For awesome instructions, that apply to this kite, search "monkeysee". All in all, avoid Prism, until they decide to ship a spare spine with their kites. For now I'm stuck with a spineless [sic] $40 kite. The Prism Jazz Kite (colors Fire and Ice) is pretty cool. They came packaged very well and look really cool when they go up. I found it a little hard to control at first, but my friends got really into it and soon got the hang of it. On a windy day, it's quite a spectacle. We went to a park, and everyone stopped to look at our kites as they were zipping through the air. It was pretty neat to put on a show. It's not the type of kite to just float there, which is what I would've preferred, but it's almost like a video game in that it's a lot of work to keep this thing up and not send it crashing to the ground. And when it does, it's very durable. It's taken a nose dive a few times and it hasn't broken yet! Overall, very good product, good quality. Average Rating:![]() |

Designed for beginners, this sport kite with Prism's "Fire" color pattern has a 55-inch wing span but folds down to 25 inches long so it can be packed in a suitcase or backpack inside a zippered travel case that comes with the kite... |

Prism Nexus KiteReviewsPrism Nexus Stunt Kite (Blue) looks great and flys great. As a novice kite stunt flyer, I found this was a great looking kite to have for a great day of fun. I fly at the Berkeley, CA Marina where there are dozens of other stunt kite flyers. Among them all, the tourist and people always stop and watch my kite (and other prisms) fly in the air. To me that's fun at first, but can get annoying cause now you want to/force to put on a show. It flys around like its going to attack someone or another kite. The roar of the wind beneath its material is hardpounding and thrilling. I highly recommend this one as a starter. It's a good size, about the length of your arms out stretched. Also easy to assemble and disassemble, and has a fancy looking carrying case. I ordered this kite not really knowing what I was going to get but it turned out to be perfect. The kite came in a very small bag which surprised me, I thought it would be much bigger but then when I put it together it was a nice big 5 foot kite. The small size when folded is great for tossing in the car for trips. I tested the kite out on a really windy day and it cut thru the air like a rocket and held up nicely. I let my 7 year old hold it and it almost picked her up off the ground. The connectors and stays are all pro style so they will hold up when the kit slams to the ground. I think I might get another one for when friends come over. I actually exchanged this kite with the 5' wingspan in favor of the Quantum. (7' wingspan) When I received the Nexus, I realized it was smaller than I had pictured it to be...for my personal taste. I also read up a little more about the Quantum and figured for the extra $20.00, The Quantum was actually Prism's best choice for beginner/intermediate and worth the extra investment. The Quantum looks much grander, has adjustments as you get better, and has a reinforced kevlar nose for hard crashes. However, I am still giving this kite 5 stars as it's from Prism and I am sure it flies just as awesome as the Quantum! I love it! You would be happy with either kite. The Kite appeared to be well made, however, when I first assembled it to fly I found that the bridle and lines were all different lengths, the lines were at least 1 foot different (making the wrist straps useless), and the bridle lines were also different lengths making it impossible to fly. Don't waste your money. This is my first stunt I have ever bought so I might not have much comparison experience but this kite really is fun. It is really easy to set up, probably takes only a minute or two and is very easy to get the kite up if there is a moderate breeze. Although there is a small learning curve to get a feel for the turning, it usually is only 10 minutes if not less. The first time I flew this kite I was in a field on campus and everyone walking by would pause for a little bit to watch me fly the kite, and I don't doubt it'd be a great excuse to invite someone on a date. Big enough for real-kite performance, small enough to pack in a suitcase, the Nexus is an adrenaline-filled introduction to sport kiting and you will get hooked. Hybrid carbon/glass composite frame for instant response and great light-wind performance... |

Prism Quantum Stunt KiteReviewsThis is a great beginner stunt kite. It is easy to fly and fun to watch. It is also easy to set-up and put away. Everything fits nicely in the bag that comes with the kite. Prism also offers some very good instructional videos on their web site. This was my first dual line kite. I had attempted to fly it at Seattle's Magnuson Park Kite Hill, but quickly found that I need more constant wind speed to successfully fly it. It says it can fly in 3 mph wind, but it's more like 5 to 7 minimum mph wind. So 2 weeks later from my initial flight, I went to Long Beach and had the most extraordinary time. I would give it a 5 star if I could fly it more in the city (instead of the coast), but I have yet to do so. When I do (gasworks park is next on my list) I'll probably update this review. This is an excellent kite to have hours of fun with at the beach or a park. At first it was a little difficult to control (the first 10 mins) after which it is sheer pleasure. Great colors and sturdy construction allows for this kite to crash hard and still survive. Definitely worth the money - but be careful flying it around people, it has the potential to move very fast at times. It's very powerful. Easy to control. Withstands some nasty crashes. I would recommend to any beginning kite lover. Having purchased two cheap stunt kites in the past while on vacation at the beach, I finally decided to move up to a better quality kite, inspired by my attendance at a local kite festival, which featured performances by expert stunt kite fliers. Research on the internet led me to the Prism Quantum Kite. I have now flown it both at a beach in Florida and locally in an area known for frequent winds. (I live in southwest Ohio.) Overall, I have been quite satisfied. The kite is undamaged despite repeated crashes as I learned to handle the kite. The built in shock absorber apparently works. The kite handles much more easily than the cheap kites I already own. It breaks down to about 36" X 5" X 3", and has a nice carrying case. It is a little heavy for lighter winds, which is the only limitation I have found. Still a great kite overall. Average Rating:![]() |

The ultimate choice for new pilots, the Quantums impressive 7-foot wingspan is big enough for serious pull and excitement and stable enough to make learning a snap. Wide wind range, adjustable bridle, and practically indestructible carbon frame make it the kite you can learn with now but never outgrow... |

Prism ButterflyReviewsWhen the kite arrived the background looked dark, but it is gorgeous. My granddaughter told me, "It's too dark." All it needed was some sun streaming through it with the streamers following behind. It's just the right size and I'm very happy with it. Average Rating:![]() |
