Beautiful kite, but we couldn't get it to stay in the air. Maybe it's for advanced kite flyers? Was not fun. Although not our first kite, we did try different places to fly and adjusted the tail, etc. No luck.

I bought 4 x-kites from our local grocery store and this one in the 52 inch wingspan was one of them. It is pretty, well enough made, but it won't lift. With a wind the string will go out, but it stays 10-15 feet off the ground. And then once it starts to turn or dive, that is it. X-kites makes a butterfly kite with a 42 inch wingspan, and I got that one too, and that one flew like a kite should, up and out and pretty controllable. It just seems like this one doesn't have enough width of fabric in the wingspan to really let the wind grab it and get it up. I can't speak for the 60 inch version, but the smaller 52 inch one was a dud.
