This kite is very easy to fly. I thought it would only be appropriate for younger kids since it's an easy kite to fly and it does not do stunts but I was wrong. My older kids and my husband all enjoy using this kite.

I live on a subtropical island where the wind gusts can be pretty brutal. We took this kite out on one of our more windy days & had a blast with it. The kite is solidly constructed & very easy to assemble and fly. My 3 & 5 yr olds were handling it in no time. The plastic cross strut had me concerned initially, but it proved to be very strong.

We just recieved this yesterday (lightning-fast shipping, by the way). It happened to be a windy day, so we gave it a try. The previous reviewer is right...this kite is so easy to fly. You just need to attach the crossbar and the line, and it will just take off on its own (it might need a little help on a less windy day - it was pretty blustery here). We did not dare use a longer line than what came with it, as there are too many trees nearby. Unless you have an open field or other large treeless area, you probably don't need extra line either. The kite is also very durable; we had a few crashes and it showed no damage at all. This was a much better purchase than the cheap ones that you find at discount "marts."

What a great kite for young kids! We got tired of the single-use kites found at convenience stores, so we decided to spend a little more for a sturdy fabric kite. We are very happy that we did. Our first (and only, so far) flight was at the beach. Wind constant, about 10 mph. Setup took 30 seconds, just insert cross bar in the back and clip line to cloth loop on front. All I had to do to launch kite was hold it up and let it go. My 6 year old was thrilled as he let out string and watched it go. The big bright colors were a big hit with the kids. The long tail makes the kite super stable, though it my keep it from flying as high as it could. We bought an additional 500 feet of line on a handle. Kite is very visible 500 feet away. Winding it back in is tiring, though.
