Got an older Nexus from 2008 (with the rectangular product tag), it flies great and pretty durable too. Crashed it numerous times before the spine stopper finally punctured after a year. Now the Nexus from 2010 (with the square product tag), spine stopper punctured on third crash. Returned it and the next one punctured on the very first crash. E-mailed Prism and got an automated response, nothing else. I'm done with Prism.

I recently purchased this kite as an upgrade for a cheaper kite that I bought on the coast. I it was able to take some hard hits with the ground and is awesome in flight. It is fast and very responsive. The only reason I ranked it a 4 instead of 5 is that the lines it came with were different lengths. I was able to email Nexus and they are sending me replacement lines, but after reading other reviews I know several others have reported the same problem. Overall, a great entry kite and a lot of fun!

The guy at the kite shop on the beach recommended a big 7.5' Prism kite for a beginner stunt kite, but wanted $100 for it. I was excited to find a Prism stunt kite on Amazon described as having an 84" wingspan so I bought it. Imagine the disappointment when it shows up and is only 60"! I reread the description on Amazon to see what's up, and the description states 84" wingspan at the top and 60" in the detailed spec's in the fine print. It's a great kite, and still easy enough to fly, but the description needs to be edited to not have conflicting information!

I ordered this kite from Amazon and had it shipped to a family member that I was visiting in Florida. I used to own a stunt kite 10+ years ago when I lived in southern California and I thought it would be fun to do with my kids. The order shipped without any problems. The kite is great. Simple to put together, simple to get up in the air and simple to take apart and store in the convenient carry bag. I have two 13 year olds and a 10 year old and all three loved flying it. Even the 10 year old got the hang of it within seconds. Don't get the wrong idea though, this is fun for adults too. Just try to make sure you have enough area around you and away from others. These kites can take a nose dive and really injure someone if they are in the way.

Well I recieved my kite Thursday was really excited but suprised at the box it came in. I had ordered another kite for my younger brother and his had a 70in wingspan. I had read in the product features: Product Features A dual-line kite perfect for novice to intermediate kite fliers 84" wing span is effective for winds 3 - 25 mph Graphite frame with ripstop nylon & mylar sail Kevlar-reinforced nose forgive your unplanned landings Compact, take-it-anywhere package includes Spectra lines, winder, flight straps, and travel case with easy instructions printed right on the back. Note it says 84" wing Span I was hooked and really did not bother reading the rest under product features: SPECS: Skill level: novice - intermediate, Wing span: 60" (152 cm) Yes, the Nexus comes with a 60" Wing Span, while on the other hand the Prism Quantum is the one that really comes with the 84" Wing Span (7ft). My brother and I took our kites out for the first time today, we are pure begginers to stunt kites and well honestly have not flown a kite in years. We enjoyed our time out there even with every hard crash we made, and the frustration of trying to get the kite to do what we wanted. Now I know for sure it's going to take some practice. I think I'm actually glad the Nexus is a 60" wing span now that I flew it. So, other than my downer when I realized I the wing span was not what I read; the Nexus Kite from Prism is an awesome kite and I really do recommend it. Next time I will just have to read more carefully and I'm sure the Quantum is next in line for me. Happy Kite Flying!

Average Rating:

Quick and agile but easy for beginners, this sport kite with Prism's "Spectrum" color pattern has a 5-foot wing span but folds down to 28 inches long so it can be packed in a suitcase or backpack inside a zippered travel case that comes with the kite...
