This takes a little while to get the hang of, but once you do get the hang of it it works great. After doing it for about an hour I was able to do tricks and steer it around very well. I recommend this kite to all!

I have some experience kiting and wanted to get a cheap beater kite to help my 7 year old daughter learn to fly a two line. I think deltas are easier to learn on than soft kites but they are easier to break. This kite flies well and is pretty hardy. For the money I would say it's a good beater kite. We changed the lines to 100 pound dyneema and it improved performance quite a bit. The handles that come with the kite can be frustrating to use. If you don't want to spend money on lines and straps, I would suggest measuring 50-75 feet of line from each handle and tying it off to the handle. This will save you some head ache when setting up the kite. This kite is not going to do crazy axels or flic-flacs, but it turns well, has a big window and flies in a decent wind range. It will help you learn the basics of launching and controlling a two-line kite. WARNING: This kite will probably lead to other kites.

After having flown this kite in several different wind conditions, definately opt for 7+ mph winds -- 3-5mph just isn't quite enough. You'll know if theres not enough wind, it seems like it doesn't want to cooperate and is hard to control which is not the case with a bit more wind. We went to the coast where it was about 15mph and had a blast. Easy to control once its in the air. Only thing I would recommend is for long term flyers, invest in some flying straps, it makes it a lot easier on the hands.

We've tried various different kites and just have not been able to get them to fly until this one. This kite is very different and has an unusual motion while flying that makes it unique and interesting (and also makes it fly much easier than traditional kites). We've tried so many times to fly kites on the beach with our daughter to no avail until now. If you're like us and either do poorly with kites, or haven't ever flown a kite, then this is the kite for you! Even our 5 y.o. can fly this! Great kite - we love it!

This kite is sooo easy to get in the air and fly. Its fun and I would recommend it because there are no sticks to break! Really pretty in the sky too.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST KITES I HAVE EVER FLOWN.ILL WILL BUY MORE IF AND WHEN THIS ONE BREAKS DOWN, WHICH WILL BE IN A VERY LONG TIME. IT'S SO DURABLE!!!

Worst kite I have ever used. Starts to go up nice and easy and just when at the perfect height plummets to the ground and crashes. Tryed another thinking it was a bad kite.... nope jumk. We had the dollar store kites up in no time and this piece of trash just spiraled to the ground. Both of them acted the same. We also bought the rec baron style and it worked perfectly to. This kite is for the worms as it does not even reach where the birds fly.

Bought two of these kites (plus two additional 500 ft. spools of string) for my boys to take to the beach on spring break. There's nothing to put together so we just pulled them out of the packages and within seconds the kites were up in the air. So easy to fly! When finished, the kites simply fold up nice and compact so we can store them in a large ziplock bag and keep them in the minivan for impromptu kite flying on windy days. Great purchase!

The kite is a breeze to take out of the package and quickly begin to play. The material is resilient and attractive to boot. The storage bag it comes with is a great idea as well. The only problem I see with the kite is the line that comes with the kite is too short and the spool is difficult to use. I would recommend purchasing a different spool--preferably one which is up to 500 feet. Overall, the kite is great fun!

Making & Flying Stunt Kites & One-Liners Making & Flying Stunt Kites & One-Liners

This is a great book for anyone interested in learning how to make kites. The only downside to the book is that the stunt kite plans are very dated. Since this book was published in 1996, dual line stunt kites have progressed in aerodynamic design and materials. There are plans for kites on the internet that utilize these new sail shapes and framesets that (in my opinion) would allow a person to make a kite that would provide a more enjoyable flying experience.

I think this book is great for people who are interested in stunt kites. It is very detailed and has accurate pictures. This book has pretty good tips. It lists one liners and different gadgets that are perfect for the beach.

I bought this kite to fly on the beach, and I couldn't be happier with it. Prism is one of the best kite manufacturers in the world in my opinion, and it's the only brand of kite that I fly. This was my first experience with a speed foil kite, but after a few minutes of practice, I was performing loops and skimming the ground with this kite. I like it so much because it is extremely compact and easily packs into any bag, it is extremely easy to fly, and it looks beautiful in the sky as well. It has a surprisingly strong pull, but it does not pull strong enough to be scary or dangerous, or to drag you down the beach. You can easily pick a spot and stay put though you may find yourself digging your heels in the sand on a windy day. I absolutely recommend this kite to anyone, and after owning this kite, I already bought a snapshot 2.5. I also own an EO6 which I would also recommend for smaller kids. You can't go wrong with this kite, or this price on Amazon! : )

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2F08EPYPGEOUT I bought this a few weeks ago and just got to test this at the beach yesterday at Galveston, TX. I can say this kite is LOADS of fun. The pull is not too strong, yet it is comfortably fun, which additionally gave my wife confidence enough to try it (she got it up in the air at her first attempt!). The kite is very portable, with a nice pouch you can carry anywhere (eg: your day backpack). It is also pretty indestructible: I played around for about 2 hs and probably crashed it straight on the sand about 4 times, and upon inspection, no signs of wear, damage or alike were visible. As one of the reviewers commented, my kite also had one string a few inches shorter, but not bothersome enough to go through the hassle of returning the product. Flying it was easy and comfortable. Also starting it from the ground after crashing it required no outside help: just a few tugs and it was up again. Landing it was real easy: I found you can just glide parallel to the ground towards the sides, where the sail loses lift (lines almost perpendicular to wind) and was able to hover 6 ft above ground til my wife cought, hence preventing even more sand on the kite and lines (which is not adviseable!). Unspooling the lines I did not find was any trouble, as I just held the spool with my finger from a little hole it comes with, and walked back while the lines unfolded almost automatically. Winding the line up again did not take as long as expected. I would highly recommend this product. Once I manage to tame it, I will probably move up to a 1.9 or 2.5.

I also have the snapshot 2.5, which kinda makes this little guy seem tame... it is fast, tag says it can reach 50mph and i don' t doubt it tight turns, fast acceleration, and steady flight even in gusts can be expected would make great intro to dual line control or if you know what you are doing it is a great kite to keep in your car/boat/kayak/etc so a kite is always handy

My wife was having trouble adapting to 2 line kits so I got her a Snapshot 1.2 based on the reviews I read. Those reviews were correct! She had this kite up and flying on her 1st attempt and had no trouble keeping it in the air. I flew it and while it's not as physically challenging as my Prism Quantum, it was just as much fun. Now I want a Snapshot, maybe a 2.5. This kite is very easy to fly and yet VERY fun to fly; even for someone who is more experienced flying stunt kites.

Fun and easy to use. Great kite for the curious kiter getting into power kiting. Do not be disappointed if the first time you go out in low winds and it doesn't have "pick me up" like you see in videos, it will in higher winds.

I genuinely love this kite! This is the kite with which I always finish a flying session and I can fly it in winds that are too light for my delta two-line stunt kites, so it eases that frustration! It packs away into a 6 × 6 inch pouch complete with lines and handles (I use Sky Claws because standard wrist straps can cut in a bit when the kite pulls in a stronger breeze - haven't tried padded straps though) which makes it really portable, is easy to set up, and easy to launch single-handed. OK, it won't axel, yo-yo, tip-stab, or do any other of those neat tricks a finely-tuned framed stunt kite will do, but it'll carve great curves, turn on a dime, and accelerate madly and stretch your muscles when the wind gets up. Hook on a tail and write in the sky! Being soft there's nothing to break but your pride if you do plow it into the dirt - and yes, that'll happen when it doubles its speed in a gust on a down-curve or ground-level fly-by. But I have never had to do the "walk of shame" to get it relaunched because a few judicious tugs will straighten it out and get it back into the air to scream upward to the top of the wind window. It has decent pull and will drag my 220lb a few steps when the wind grabs it, which makes it perhaps too strong for the little kids.

The affordable new Snapshot series fits radical aerial thrills in your pocket, your briefcase, or the glove box of your car. Unlike most parafoils, the Snapshot sports a tight, responsive turn response that feels like driving a finely tuned sports car as compared to a truck; it just feels good carving up the sky...
